Kenny Djekurr one of his first paintings using his family totems the spear (Warrari). Freshwater Snake (Wuwarku), green turtle, stone knife and sacred stones. Behind the panel top left the cross hatched bars represent tracks made in the sand. Where the bottom right panel, the green turtle, the bars of cross hatching show the shifting current of the sea. Stone knife with wooden handle.
Kenny is from the Dhuwa Moiety associated with the mythology of the “Djang ‘Kaun” Sisters who gave birth to the first generation of human beings.
